When a company has a strong safety culture, employees actively work to keep themselves and their colleagues safe, which leads to more productivity and worker satisfaction. At Altus EHS, our experts have implemented Behavioral Safety and Safety Culture programs across the country.
In the Lean environment we work in today, a full-blown Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) program may not be possible, so we’ve developed what we call “Stealth Behavioral Safety”. This process provides the effective components of the standard time-consuming BBS program, but we build the components into your existing manufacturing systems and processes, so it’s a lot less work with the same upside.
“Safety culture” is vitally important to the long-term health of a business. Without a strong, functional safety culture, workers tend to take more risks and get injured more. A strong safety culture is one in which safe practices are part of your everyday routine, like getting dressed in the morning. The idea is simple, but putting it into practice can be much harder.
